The Vice President (VP) plays a critical role in supporting the President by managing day-to-day operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring that the organization’s mission and goals are met. The VP will collaborate closely with department heads, providing leadership and oversight to ensure efficient operations. This individual acts as a liaison between the President and staff, supporting organizational growth, project execution, and strategic decision-making. As the second-in-command, the VP will also serve as the President’s representative in their absence, working to maintain the organization’s vision of LGBTQ+ advocacy and support. A deep commitment to the community and the organization’s mission is essential to this role. Minimum 30 hours a week.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global health issues affecting LGBTQ+ populations, combined with expertise in public health, program management, and advocacy.

This role is responsible for overseeing a team of volunteer grant writers, ensuring the timely and effective completion of grant proposals. This role involves providing supervision, guidance, and expertise in grant writing best practices and LGBTQ+ advocacy. The successful candidate will coordinate the grant writing process, keep grant writers on task, and ensure alignment with Destiel’s mission and funding priorities.
