Destiel Technology and Resource Usage Policy

This Technology and Resource Usage Policy outlines the standards and expectations for all volunteers at Destiel regarding the use of technology, online subscriptions, and other resources provided by the organization.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure the responsible and secure use of Destiel's technology and resources to support the organization's mission and operations.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all volunteers who are provided access to Destiel's technology, online subscriptions, shared accounts, and other resources.

3. Authorized Use

Volunteers are expected to use Destiel's technology and resources solely for purposes related to their volunteer activities.
Personal use of Destiel's technology and resources is strictly prohibited unless explicitly authorized by a supervisor.

4. Online Subscriptions and Shared Accounts

Access and Use

Volunteers may be provided with access to online subscriptions and shared accounts necessary for performing their duties.
Volunteers must use these accounts solely for purposes related to their volunteer activities with Destiel.

Security and Confidentiality

Volunteers must maintain the security of account credentials and must not share login information with unauthorized persons.
Any changes to login credentials, email addresses, or account settings are prohibited without prior authorization.

Return and Revocation

Volunteers must cease using and return access to any provided accounts upon termination or completion of their volunteer role, or upon request by the organization.

Compliance

Volunteers must comply with all terms and conditions set forth by the service providers of the online subscriptions.

Post-Departure Accountability

Unauthorized use or changes to account credentials after departure will result in legal actions, including restitution and potential criminal charges.

5. Data Protection and Confidentiality

Volunteers must take all reasonable measures to protect confidential information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
Volunteers must adhere to the Confidentiality Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) protecting any confidential information encountered during their service.

6. Use of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint

Microsoft Teams

Volunteers must use Microsoft Teams for all organizational communications and collaborations.
All communications should be conducted in a professional and respectful manner.

SharePoint

Volunteers must store all files and documents related to Destiel’s operations on SharePoint.
Personal storage of organizational documents on personal devices or other platforms is prohibited.

7. Intellectual Property

Any materials, content, or other intellectual property created during the course of service are the property of Destiel.
Volunteers must comply with the Intellectual Property Agreement outlining the use and protection of intellectual property.

8. Technology and Resource Usage Monitoring

Destiel reserves the right to monitor the use of its technology and resources to ensure compliance with this policy.
Any misuse or unauthorized use of technology and resources may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of volunteer service.

9. Reporting Issues

Volunteers must report any technical issues, security breaches, or unauthorized use of technology and resources to their supervisor immediately.

10. Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By signing below, the volunteer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to adhere to the standards and expectations outlined in this Technology and Resource Usage Policy.
