Role Summary: We are looking for a highly self-motivated and self-driven Marketing Director to lead and implement marketing strategies that enhance our visibility, engage our audience, and build community support. This role is remote and requires someone who takes initiative, thrives independently, and can consistently drive marketing efforts without direct supervision.
The Marketing Director will develop and execute digital campaigns, manage social media, and create compelling content that showcases Destiel’s mission and programs. Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to grow Destiel’s reach and engagement.
• Independently manage and execute all digital and social media campaigns.
• Post regularly on social media to maintain consistent outreach and engagement.
• Create compelling content (graphics, videos, newsletters, blog posts, etc.) that highlights Destiel’s mission, programs, and impact.
• Monitor social media and respond to engagement (comments, messages, and inquiries) to foster community relationships.
• Track and analyze marketing performance to refine strategies and optimize outreach.
• Manage Destiel’s brand identity and ensure all messaging aligns with our mission.
• Collaborate with leadership to support fundraising and donor outreach efforts through targeted marketing campaigns.
• Develop digital materials (ads, flyers, email campaigns) to promote events and initiatives.
• Take full ownership of marketing initiatives with minimal oversight.
Qualifications:
• Must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Experience in digital marketing, social media management, branding, or related fields.
• Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
• Strong writing and storytelling skills to create engaging content.
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools preferred).
• Passion for LGBTQ+ advocacy and community engagement.
• Ability to develop and implement marketing plans with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to posting regularly and maintaining consistent engagement.
Time Commitment: This is a voluntary, part-time position with an estimated weekly time commitment is roughly 30 hours a week.
