Role Summary: Destiel is forming an Austin Committee to strengthen our presence in the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and the Austin Chamber of Commerce. We are looking for dedicated, outgoing volunteers who can attend events regularly to represent Destiel, build relationships, network with local businesses, and identify opportunities for growth and fundraising.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about business networking, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and professional engagement to make a real impact in the Austin community.

Responsibilities:
• Regularly attend events, meetings, and networking opportunities hosted by both chambers.
• Represent Destiel professionally, ensuring our mission and values are well-communicated.
• Engage with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community partners to foster collaborations.
• Identify sponsorship and fundraising opportunities to support Destiel’s programs.
• Promote LGBTQ+ inclusion and Destiel’s initiatives within Austin’s business community.
• Report back on event insights and connections made, helping Destiel maximize its chamber memberships.

Qualifications:
• Must be a local resident of Austin, Texas.
• Able to attend chamber events regularly and be an active committee member.
• Outgoing, confident, and comfortable networking in professional settings.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passionate about LGBTQ+ advocacy and business engagement.
• Previous experience in networking, fundraising, or nonprofit work is a plus but not required.
