Role Summary: The Vice President (VP) serves as a key leader in Destiel, working closely with the President to guide the strategic direction and overall operations of the organization. The VP will be responsible for overseeing various departments, ensuring that all initiatives align with our mission, and supporting the day-to-day functions that drive the organization forward. As the right hand to the President, the VP will play a critical role in decision-making, representing the organization, and stepping in when necessary to fulfill the duties of the President.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the President to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives.
• Oversee the operations of multiple departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Support and mentor department leaders, facilitating communication and coordination across teams.
• Lead special projects and initiatives that advance the organization’s mission.
• Represent Destiel at key meetings, events, and public engagements.
• Assist in the development and oversight of the organization’s budget and financial plans.
• Step in to fulfill the President’s duties in their absence or as needed.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations and maintain the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in leadership roles within nonprofits or community organizations, preferably within the LGBTQ+ community.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit management, including operations, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
• Passionate about the mission of Destiel and committed to promoting LGBTQ+ rights and advocacy.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week, with flexibility as needed.

Time Commitment: This is a voluntary, part-time position with an estimated weekly time commitment is roughly 30 hours a week.
